The Audio Quran by Saoud Shuraim is a comprehensive app that contains the complete Quran Karim in high-quality MP3 audio. The app is available for Android and can be downloaded for free. The reciter, Saoud Shuraim, is one of the Imams and khateeb of the Grand Mosque (Masjid al-Haram) in Makka, and holds a Ph.D. in Sharia and Islamic studies.
The app offers two options for listening to the Quran: either via audio streaming from the internet or by downloading the files to your device. All files are streamed from the internet, and users can download each MP3 file by using the download icon in the top right corner. If a file is downloaded, the app will serve the audio file directly from the device, and no internet connection is needed. The app also allows users to share audio files by pressing long and selecting share to see options.
The app is ad-supported, but without any annoying push ads. Additionally, when users exit the app while an audio file is still active and playing, they can see a small music note in the notification bar. That is how users can get back to the app and either stop or change the station. The app will not be listed in Task Manager.
